GeoStats values the privacy of the customers, employees and business partners who use its services. GeoStats commits to collect, use, and disclose personal information in a manner consistent with the laws of all countries with which GeoStats does business. Safe HarborThe GeoStats Privacy Policy is based on the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles agreed upon by the European Commission’s Directive on Data Protection and the United States Department of Commerce as part of the Safe Harbor Agreement. GeoStats follows these principals with respect to data transfers of personal information between the United States and member states of the European Union. GeoStats adheres to the US Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of Notice, Choice, Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity, Access and Enforcement, and is registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Safe Harbor Program. These privacy principles are further described in the Safe Harbor Workbook. Having agreed to these principles means that GeoStats will not use personal information for a different purpose than the one stated when data is provided. Dispute ResolutionAny questions or concerns regarding the use personal information should be directed to GeoStats at the address given below. GeoStats will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the principles contained in this Policy. For complaints that cannot be resolved between GeoStats and the complainant, GeoStats has agreed to participate in the dispute resolution procedures established by the Better Business Bureau to resolve disputes pursuant to the Safe Harbor Principles. Internet PrivacyGeoStats applies an asymmetric encryption strategy whenever transferring personal data over the Internet. This ensures that any personal data transmitted between GeoStats’ servers and our clients or field teams remain confidential. GeoStats uses SSL certificates emitted by an authorized provider (Verisign), which makes it easier for the transferring party to verify the security of the connection before posting any personal data. Access to network resources is restricted by user name and password authentication as well as by Internet Protocol (IP) address ranges. GeoStats closely monitors its servers’ activity logs for any signs of intrusion attempts.
